Guidance Office

The guidance office at KMS provides a variety of services to students ranging from personal counseling to help with scheduling, course selection, and decision making. All counseling is confidential. Students are encouraged to seek counseling for help in identifying problems, making important decisions and resolving conflict. Small support groups are available to bring together students with similar concerns for joint problem-solving peer support. Our counselors have a variety of resources to help students be successful, including information on special tutor programs and community-based assistance. Students with concerns of any nature are strongly encouraged to visit the guidance office. Appointments or drop-in visits are options.

ENROLLING A STUDENT AT KALISPELL MIDDLE SCHOOL

Registration for Grades 6-8

KMS 2017-2018 Registration Handbook

To enroll a  6th, 7th, or 8th grader at Kalispell Middle School please visit the Guidance Office. For all questions regarding enrollment please contact Heidi Rogers at 406-751-3783. You will be required to furnish an immunization record and verification of your address at the time of enrollment. If the school year has started it is also helpful to bring grades from your student's previous school.

After completing the paperwork to enroll your student in our school district, you and your student will meet with a counselor and register for classes. Generally a new student will begin school the day following the registration appointment. This allows us time to notify staff of a new student joining their classes and to make arrangements for a student ambassador to help your child find their classrooms, introduce them to teachers, and join them for lunch the first day they attend.
