Beginning Woodworking is an entry level class that stresses job skills and workmanship through classroom instruction and practical experience. Students will learn to safely use hand tools, portable power tools, and stationary power equipment to fabricate and finish a variety of woodworking projects. Students will learn basic tool maintenance, plan reading, basic CAD, wood and lumber identification, measuring, squaring, basic joinery, assembly, sanding, staining and finishing.
