NCDA promotes career development through its annual celebration of National Career Development Month. Every November, career development professionals are encouraged to celebrate with career related activities. In particular, NCDA sponsors an annual Poetry and Poster Contest.
Topic: Inspiring Careers: Honoring History
Length: Use of any acceptable poetic form (e.g. cinquain, free verse, diamante, haiku, limerick, metered, rhyming, blank verse). Poems must be typed on 8 1/2 x 11" using 12 point font.
Eligibility: Grades 9 - 12
Entries must be accompanied by an entry form
Awards: National winners will be recognized with the winning entries placed on the NCDA website. First, Second and Third place winners in each category will receive a certificate and a special congratulations gift.
