Packing on Horses or Mules - Session #1
Description

Packing into the backcountry with your horses and mules is a fun and rewarding experience. This 4 week hands  

on course is geared for beginners and will teach you the skills to feel confident packing for a simple overnight

trip or a few weeks in the wilderness. Topics will include: defensive horse handling, all of the ins and outs of

packing, and minimum impact horse use. A wide variety of packing equipment will be used during

demonstrations and hands on class time to show you the pros and cons of all options. We will get into the details

of packing and will cover a vast array of topics including: back braiding your rope, gear selection, forest service

requirements, packing in camp for a family fishing trip, and even how to pack out that trophy of a life time.
