ALERT Magazine Essay Contest
- Topic: Personal encounter you or someone you know has had with drug and/or alcohol abuse, how it was dealth with, and in your opinion, what was right or wrong about the way the incident or problem was handled.
- Length: 600 - 1000 words
- Essays must be submitted before graduation from senior year.
- Senior only
- A GPA of 2.5
- Plans to attend college after graduation
- Award: A $500 scholarship and the author will have his or her essay published in the ALERT Magazine, as well as on the ALERT Magazine web page.
Entries must have your name, address, complete with city and state, and school name in the upper right hand corner of each page. Each entry must be accompanied by a transcript and photo. For additional information, see Mrs. Stoner in the Writing Center.
Essays that are not type written and accompanied by the photo and transcript will not be considered.
