Running Start Dan Salois, the FVCC Running Start advisor, will be holding office hours Fridays in the nurse’s office from 8:30am - 11:30am. It is open to all students. Stop in and make an appointment to get information on how you can be taking free college courses while still in high school. Registration starts soon so see Dan today!”

National Honor Society welcomes its new members. There is a mandatory meeting during your lunch in the SSRC today

The Orange Project - The counselors will be hosting a lunchtime event today, called The Orange Project. We will have a table set up in the Commons during both lunch periods, where you can stop by and write an encouraging message on an orange sticky note. The Orange Project is focused on spreading suicide prevention in young people and breaking a Guiness World Record for the largest album of handwritten notes. Stop by, say hi, and help spread a positive message!

MUN delegates there is a mandatory meeting today in Mrs. Gustafson's room 224. You may attend either during late lunch or after school. The meeting will take 20minutes. This is required for attendance at the conference.

Happy Birthday Candy Bar Happy Birthday Candy Bar student's, if you have a Birthday this month, stop by the FHS Parent Group table in the commons today during both lunches to receive you "Happy Birthday Candy Bar."

Flathead CARE's Affinity Club Flathead CARE's Affinity Club meets on Tuesday nights, from 6:30 - 8 PM in the Flathead CARE office, located in the Linderman Education Center. Affinity is free and open to any high school student, and promotes a healthy, drug and alcohol free lifestyle for teens. We have a lot of relevant group discussion, promote youth leadership and empowerment, and serve as mentors to our peers and middle school students. IB Retreat ? Are you planning to take IB exams this May or attend the IB retreat this November? Registration for both of these opportunities is due this Friday, Oct. 13. See Mrs. Higgins in room 112 if you have any questions.

ATTENTION FLYFISHERS or anyone interested in learning about fly fishing. We will be holding a fly fishing club meeting on Thursday right after school in room 221. See Mr. Putzler in room 221 if you have any questions.

Guitar Show Attention guitar players and former guitar students, there are still a few slots open for our High School Guitar Show on November 7. If you are possibly interested or have questions, please contact guitar instructor, Steve Eckels in room G202.

National Scholarship Seniors--there are a few local and several national scholarships out on the wall in the Career Center free for the taking! You can't win, if you don't apply! Also, if you plan to attend MSU, their freshman scholarship is available on-line, as well as the Presidential Scholarship due December 1st.

Experience FVCC Day" Experience FVCC is coming up on Friday. if you are considering FVCC to be your first college stop in your future, you may want to take advantage of this college experience. Stop by the Career Center and pick up the postcard on the counter with information on how to independently register for this event.

ImagineIF Library’s Anime Club Area students in grades 6 through 12 are invited to ImagineIF Library’s Anime Club meeting on Thursday, October 12 from 4:00-5:30pm. Meet other anime fans and enjoy popcorn and episodes of the anime series “xxxHolic.” The program is free and no registration is required; Anime Club meets in ImagineIF Kalispell’s basement meeting room.
