Food Drive Canstruction Contest FHS Student Council is excited to sponsor our annual Food Drive Canstruction Contest. Each year we collect food items for the Lion's Club Food Baskets to be given out to families in need before Christmas. What started as an FHS tradition has over the last 10 years expanded to include FHS, GHS, and KMS. This year's Canstruction Contest pits everyone's 2nd period classes against each other. The two coveted prizes: Most Food Items Collected: Krispy Kreme Doughnut Party Best Canstruction: Crosstown Basketball VIP passes (includes admission -no waiting in line, concession voucher) Counting and judging will take place on Wednesday, December 13, during 2nd period.

Ugly Xmas Sweater Students and staff, get in the holiday spirit with ugly sweater Friday's. Show case your best or worst holiday sweater every Friday for the month of December. The final ugly sweater competition will be Thursday, December 21st. A staff and student award will be given to the best ugly sweater on that day judged by the ladies at the front office. Happy Holidays!

All-School Musical Auditions for the the All-School Musical will be held December 6th and 7th at 4 pm in the Choir Room. Audition Scenes and forms are available in PA40. All singers, dancers, actors, and technicians are welcome! See Mrs. Putzler and Miss Sykora in PA40 with questions.

She-Ra girls visiting St. Matt's on Wednesday's we will be visiting our buddies Wednesday Dec. 6th during 2nd period. Please meet in the library at the beginning of 2nd.

All Football Players If you haven't turned in all of your football equipment and uniforms please turn them into Coach Samson asap! If you dont turn in all your gear you will have a fine added to your account.

Winter Fine Arts Show The annual Winter Fine Arts Show is on display in the Gallery, room 131, this Tuesdday-Thursday. Come see what our student artists have been working on this semester, it's amazing! All students and staff are invited to join us on Thursday, December 7, 4-5pm, for our reception catered by Braves Catering. Happy Holidays!"

Tennis Open Courts will be on Friday Dec. 8th from 6-7AM, No Open courts Dec. 10 thru Dec. 18. Open Courts are at The Summit $1 per player on Fridays to cover court fee.

The Lion, the witch, and the Wardrobe Get your tickets for the Acting 3 IB production of "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe." Tickets are available at the FHS Main Office and Photo Video Plus. Shows are Tonight and tomorrownight at 6:27 pm. $5 for Students and $7 for Adults.

Scholarship Season Prep for Seniors - We are right around the corner from the scholarship informational packet being out before Christmas Break. Get yourself ready for the FHS Local Scholarship Season slowly beginning in January then getting a LOT more applications in thru April. NOW is the time to have your student resume in place, request letters of recommendation, AND keep your grades up! Scholarships will be looking at your 7th semester of High School Transcript. If you have questions on how to be ready, see Mrs. Allen in the Career Center or your Counselor.

AmeriCorp Something for ALL FHS students to know, During BOTH lunches Tuesday, the AmeriCorp people will be set up in the Commons to visit with you and give you information on what it might look like to participate in an experience of a lifetime! This national organization has given over 1.4 Billion hours in community service projects all over. If you are eligible to participate this could be a PAID community service event for you, stop by and visit with AmeriCorp during your lunch on Tuesday in the Commons.
