The Cross Country season is winding down with one of its last meets of the year. After receiving third place in the “Glacier Invitational” the Cross Country teams seem to be on the high road of scoring well at the “Montana AA Cross Country State Meet”. This meet will be held tomorrow, October 24th in Missoula.
Both the Glacier High School’s Boys and Girls teams will be attending this meet with good expectations for the run, and with good reason to. In the last meet alone, three of our boys and two of our girls scored in the top ten.
In state, the Boys team has their goal set on getting at least eighth place, and are very much capable of accomplishing it. Personally Freshman Troy Fraley hopes to be in the top ten, while Junior Richie Boyer expects to be in the top twenty of the approximate ninety-five AA competitors. Seven boys from the team will be competing in this event.
Meanwhile, the girls are intending to take seventh, sixth, or even possibly fifth place at State. Both Juniors Rachael Hart, and Heather Fraley anticipate being in the top fifteen, and to become “All State” and compete in the final run. If they run as are as well as they have been, they will go on to compete at “All State”, which will be Cross Country’s final competition.
