NHS Overview:
- Membership in the National Honor Society is one of the highest honors that can be awarded to a high school student. Our chapter supports the Society’s standards of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. These four ideals are considered for the selection process. Members attend quarterly meetings and participate in chapter service projects, as well as individual service projects. Membership in the Glacier High School Chapter not only provides opportunity for personal growth and community service, but also nationwide recognition and eligibility to NHS-specific scholarships.
Eligibility:
- Students in the sophomore, junior or senior class with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or greater
- Students must demonstrate a high standard of scholarship, leadership, service, and character by providing evidence of their involvement in community, extra-curricular and school activities and events.
How to become a member:
- Fill out a Student Activity Information Form these packets will be available at the Glacier High School Office or online at www.sd5.k12.mt.us/ghs/nhs.
- These packets are then reviewed by the Faculty Council and NHS advisors and new members selected.
Notification and Induction Ceremony:
- A notification letter will be sent home regarding selection
- Induction Ceremony will take place October 20th at 6:30 p.m.
