T.A.C. Summer Conditioning Program

Total Athlete Conditioning Program at Flathead High School

 

Summer Schedule:  2014

Dates and Times:  Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday @ 7:30-8:45 am for 10-12 Graders/ 8:45-9:45 6th-9th Grade (June Only)

Starting June  16th-August th

DAILY CONDITIONING:

The focus of the T.A.C. Strength and Conditioning program is to prepare student-athletes for the physical demands of high school sports competition. The program is designed with both pre-season, in season, and off season components. Each athlete will earn a valuable work ethic while striving to become a better athlete during summer TAC. The TAC workout starts at 7:30 am and will consist of 15 minutes of a warm-up, 30 minutes of plyometrics and 45 minutes of strength training. The summer program will be Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday throughout the summer months. A typical schedule is:

  • General Warm-up
  • Dynamic Warm-up
  • Conditioning
  • Plyometrics
  • Strength & Power Training
  • Abs./Low Back
  • Cool Down
  • Stretching

The conditioning segment consists of four activities: Interval Training, Plyometrics, Agility Training, and Sprint Training. Over the course of the summer, the skill level of the drills increases.

 How to Earn a TAC T-Shirt: 

 

To earn a “T.A.C. Summer Champion” T-Shirt each athlete must meet the following criteria:

Points are given on the following basis: 

1.    To earn an Orange T-Shirt—the athlete must go to six summer TAC workouts.

2.    To earn a Black Shirt—the athlete must go to  twelve summer TAC workouts

3.     To Earn the Black Backpack---the athlete must be in the top 5 of the Most T.A.C. points for all females or males.  You will be the T.A.C. Summer Champion!!  These will be given out at the first assembly in the fall.
