Flathead Strength and Fitness Staff
The Flathead High School strength team will be led by a team of weight coaches in Kyle Samson and Charle Dotson. These coaches will help the sports teams and individual weight lifters achieve their goals.
Coach Samson, 29, an all-state quarterback at Helena Capital in his prep playing days, has served as an assistant coach with the MSU-Northern football program for the past seven years after finishing his college career at the school. He played QB at Northern from 2004 to 2006 after transferring from the University of Montana where he played as a true freshman.
Samson was the high school Gatorade Player of the Year for football in Montana following the 2002 season. His Bruins beat the Flathead Braves in the semifinals of that year’s State AA playoffs before Capital finished its undefeated season with a state title.
Charlie Dotson is a very well rounded athlete and coach that brings a lot to the table for our strength and conditioning team. Coach Dotson was a three sport athlete for Flathead and played football for Montana Western. Coach Dotson teaches Physical Education and Business at Flathead High School.
