Early Out – Friday, January 18th 

Friday, January 18th is an Early Out for the school.  Students at KMS are dismissed at 1:10 pm.

No School - MLK Day, Monday, January 21st

Students will not attend school on Monday, January 21st

Early Out – Friday, January 25th 

Friday, January 25th is an Early Out for the school due to the High School Speech Meet. Students at KMS are dismissed at 1:10 pm.

Congratulations KMS Geography Bee Finalists!

Congratulations to our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students who won this year’s Geography Bee for their team!  The nine finalists will be competing against each other to determine an overall KMS Geography Bee champion.  The final round will take place during 6th period on Thursday, January 24th in Mr. Ferda's room.

Music Photos

The KMS Orchestra, Choir and Bands will be taking their yearbook photos on Wednesday, January 23rd.

Stand Dance

There is a middle school dance this Saturday, January 26th at Linderman School from 7 – 9 pm.  Cost is $5.

KMS Parent Night

Please join us for an informational parent meeting where our School Resource Officer, Michelle O’Neill, will share information about an important topic affecting middle school kids: Social Media & Sexting.  January 24, 2018 - 6:00-7:00pm - Kalispell Middle School Library -- Child care will be provided at no cost, along with refreshments!

KMS Registration Process

The KMS Registration process will begin towards the end of the month of January into the month of February.  Important dates and the registration timeline is provided by grade level. Due to large number of students at KMS, it becomes difficult if not impossible to make changes once the registration process is completed.  Please discuss with your student and come to an agreement on the classes they are interested in taking prior to the completion of the registration.

KMS Readathon

Please join the KMS library and librarians for our FIRST ANNUAL READATHON. The readathon will take place January 28-February 8. During that time every half hour you read will get you entered into drawings for prizes. We also have additional challenges that you can complete for more entries into the drawings.  Stop by the library and see Mrs. Mitchell or Mrs. Warnell for more information.  Staff members are also welcome to participate!

Volleyball Club Opportunity

Flathead Volleyball Club will begin it's 12th season with tryouts on January 27 and February 3, 2019. We will have FVC Foundations, U12, U14, U16 and possibly U18's. FVC is an AAU club, and all levels are grade based. We are open to student athletes from all over the Flathead Valley.  Tryouts for U14 and U16 are 1/27/209 and 2/3/2019.  This is for grades 7/8 and 9/10. Younger teams will have tryouts next month.  Tryouts will be held at Glacier High SchoolU14-4:30-6:00, U16- 6:30-8:00  Club Fees are $250 per player, with an opportunity to sell raffle tickets (up to $200).
