School Spotlight

Congratulations KMS!!!

KMS MathCounts

The MathCounts School Competition held in mid-December was a success.

  • Countdown Round Champion was Dyson Linden. Runner Up was Simon Gugler. 
  • Top 6th Grade Contestant was Sam Engellant. 
  • Top 7th Grade Contestants were Dyson Linden, Isaac Sandler and Brecken Walcheck. 
  • Top 10 Finalists in order who will be competing in the Chapter Competition in February are 1st place Neila Lyngholm, Dyson Linden, Emily Mitchell, Ethan Bay, Sam Engellant, Simon Gugler, Miles Sneeden, Calvin Schmidt, Rylin Wilde and Thomas Konopka.  Our two Alternates are Harrison Sanders and Jasmine Anderson 

Additionally, the students were awarded winner of the Poster Contest and will be recognized at the State level.

The Best of Kalispell Urban Forest Award 2018

Grace Orchard at Kalispell Middle School was honored this month by the Kalispell Parks and Rec Street Tree Committee.  Our beautiful 30 tree orchard was awarded the Best of Kalispell Urban Forest Award for 2018.   Thanks to all who made this orchard a reality in the spring of 2012 and a huge thanks to Mr. Schreiner and his Montana Legacy class for the continuous care they provide the orchard.

Outstanding Results - ELA, Math and Science

The Montana state-wide Smarter Balanced test results from last spring have been released and Kalispell Middle School was the highest performing AA middle school.
