2018 Annual Performance Report…Accountable to Our Community!

The Harlem Globetrotters are coming to Glacier High School on November 13th at 7:00.

News from Nurse Deb at Edgerton

The following is a list of reasons to keep your child home

  • Temperature of 100 degrees F or higher in the last 24 hours
  • Vomiting within the last 24 hours
  • Diarrhea within the last 24 hours
  • Treatment must be provided 24 hours prior to returning to school.
    • Strep Infection
    • Ringworm
    • Conjunctivitis (pink eye)
    • Impetigo
  • Rash of unknown origin-may indicated many things and should be checked by MD
  • Pain should be taken seriously and needs to be evaluated
    • earaches 
    • headaches
    • toothaches
    • pain for an unknown reason
  • Untreated Lice infestation 

 

Substitute Job Fair

Where:            Linderman Education Center Gym, 124 3rd Ave E, Kalispell MT

 

We are hiring for all sub positions.  Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.  No previous experience required.

NO SCHOOL OCTOBER 18th and 19th

There is no school on Thursday and Friday, October 18th and 19th, 2018 due to MEA days.  School will resume at normal times on Monday, October 22nd.

SPIRIT WEEK IS COMING

We are pleased to announce our first Spirit Week for 2018-2019. This festive week that supports drug free students is taking place the week of October 22-26. This week is called Red Ribbon Spirit Week. We encourage students to wear their red ribbon throughout the whole week. This week will include 80’s Day, PJ Day, Workout Day, Sweats Day, and the yearly COLOR WARS!

Here are the dates for Red Ribbon Spirit Week:

  • ●  Monday: 80’s Day (Just Say No!!)

  • ●  Tuesday: PJ Day (Stay Cozy and Be Drug Free!)

  • ●  Wednesday: Workout Day (Stay Healthy and Move More!)

  • ●  Thursday: Sweats Day (It’s No Sweat To Stay Drug Free!)

  • ●  Friday: COLOR WAR (Let You True Colors Show! Be Yourself!)

  • Kindergarten: Orange

  • 1st Grade: Green
    2nd Grade: Yellow

  • 3rd Grade: Purple
    4th Grade: Red
    5th Grade: Black

    We are looking forward to everyone showing their spirit!

LOST AND FOUND GETTING FULL

Please come and look through our Lost and Found, we are accumulating more clothes each day.  The lost and found is located down the hall from our office.  Ask Mrs. Hartford (Teresa) is you have any questions.  

Cider Fest October 31 4:30-5:30

Come join us in the Edgerton gymnasium for Cider Fest.  Costume is optional and there will be free cider and candy.  Festivities begin at 4:30 on Halloween.  

INDOOR RECESS FOR COLD WEATHER POLICY

If the "feels like" temperature is 0 or above it is school district # 5 policy that recess will be outside.  If the "feels like" temperature is below 0 there will be a red flag on our reader board at the front of the school and a red flag at the back, indicating we will have indoor recess.  

 

Please bring appropriate clothes for the temperatures we will be having each day for your children.  Thank you.

2018-2019 Edgerton Elementary Drop Off and Dismissal Guidelines for Success
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR GRADES 1-6 and 9 FOR THE 2018-19 SCHOOL YEAR IS WEDNESDAY AUGUST 29, 2018

Grades 1-6 and 9 will start school on Wednesday August 29th.  7-8 and 10-12 Graders will start on Thursday August 30th.  Kindergarteners begin after Labor Day and your school will be sending notification to you.

Board votes down proposal of Verizon Cell Tower

Kalispell Public Schools Board of Trustees voted to not move forward with the proposed Verizon Cell Tower at FHS.  THEREFOR THE COMMENT PERIOD HAS ENDED. 

 

 

Elementary School Levy Request Information
Consideration for Being Grandfathered into Current Elementary School

If your child's Elementary School Boundaries are changing in the 2018-19 school year you have the option to request to be Grandfathered into your current school. 

Please fill out this form and submit to Beth Kornick at the Superintendent's Office by fax 406-751-3416, email kornickb@sd5.k12.mt.us, or by mail to 233 1st E. Kalispell, MT  59901. Please submit by February 23, 2018.

Decisions regarding these requests will be made sometime in the Spring of 2018 and you will be notified as to the status of your request at that time.  If you have any questions you may contact Beth Kornick at 406-751-3430.

New Elementary Boundaries beginning in 2018-19 School Year

The KPS School Board has approved the new Elementary Boundaries below, beginning with the 2018-19 school year. 

In the coming months the Board will be reviewing and taking action on the process for students to be grandfathered in to their current school and the possibility of accepting Out of District students at the elementary level.  Please stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
