Cat Kuchera Named
2026 META Technologist of the Year
Kuchera Serves as IT Facilitator at KPS
Kalispell Public Schools is proud to congratulate Cat Kuchera on earning the 2026 META Technologist of the Year award — a statewide recognition presented annually since 2016 to honor outstanding Montana K-12 school technologists.
Cat earned this honor through her innovation, leadership, and dedication to educational technology across our district and the region. Among her many contributions, she designed and built a custom web application that transformed how staff access and evaluate digital tools — streamlining approval processes, strengthening data privacy, and supporting better decision-making across KPS.
She also organizes regional META meetings and regularly shares her expertise with peers throughout Montana. Since joining KPS's IT team last May, Cat has helped lead multiple new initiatives and completed several large projects in under a year.
Cat holds the CoSN Certified Education Technology Leader (CETL) certification — one of only three people in Montana to hold this distinction. All three work right here at KPS.
Cat is joined by IT Directors Eric Miletich and Jason Hecock. Please join us in congratulating Cat on this well-deserved recognition!
