Scott Warnell - Board Chair

Scott is beginning his third year as a Kalispell Public Schools Trustee but as a former Flathead Bravette Head Soccer Coach and Student Resource Officer at Flathead High for many years, Scott is well known to the SD5 community.  Retired from the Kalispell Police Department after 22 years, Scott now serves as an Outreach and Engagement Specialist with the Fletcher Group.  Scott has served this community for many years as the Past President of Flathead CARE, Past board member and President of the Flathead Soccer Club and was named the State of Montana Police Officer of the Year in 1998.  When he isn’t doting on ‘the best wife a guy could ask for’, Scott can be found fly fishing, rafting, and golfing!

Will Hiatt is currently serving his second term as trustee for Kalispell's High School District 1. He welcomes feedback and proposals from any staff, parent, or student from the schools he represents, with regards to the educational experiences they or their graduates receive while at Flathead High School or Glacier High School.

Will Hiatt is currently retired. He has worked in the public sector for Flathead County and in the private sector for the insurance industry, providing computer services and analysis. His BA is in Early Childhood Education, with minors in Math and Science. He has a daughter working in the court system and a son working at SpaceX. His hobbies include hiking, foreign languages, k-drama, and gardening.

Rebecca Linden

Rebecca holds a bachelor’s degree in theoretical mathematics and a master’s degree in plant physiology.  As a parent of two children who attend KPS, Rebecca is excited to begin her third year as a KPS Board Trustee. Rebecca believes that the Board has a responsibility to ensure open, respectful communication among parents, teachers, principals, and the community at large and in using the budget to support teachers with the tools they need.  Rebecca wants students to be exposed to a breadth of disciplines and to be allowed the space and expert guidance to explore their passions both in and out of the classroom.    Rebecca has served on multiple boards in the past, including the Glacier Symphony and Chorale, and the Horace Mann action committee.  While she will readily admit to knowing more plant names than people names, Rebecca will be reluctant to tell you about her days as a dance teacher at the famed Arthur Murray Dance Studios. We bet she still dances around as she waters her plants though!
