IB: Course Descriptions

IB Courses Available and Their Descriptions

A Comprehensive Curriculum Recognized by Universities

All college-bound students are encouraged to take IB courses during their junior and senior years. Colleges and universities recognize the value of the emphasis IB places on critical thinking, analysis, and writing skills. IB courses provide the preparation for a seamless entry into college. Higher Level courses are considered college level, and many universities grant college credit to entering freshmen that do well on exams. Studies have shown that students that challenge themselves with IB courses do better than students who have not taken this type of college preparatory program.

There are no fees for students who do not wish to sit for exams at the end of an IB course. Only students who wish to be awarded the IB certificate of Diploma sit for exams and pay fees.
