Head Coach- Jesse Rumsey
Coach Rumsey is entering her 20th year of teaching and coaching. She started her running career as a Flathead Bravette, competing in cross country and track in high school. Her coaching career started in Fort Collins, CO at Poudre High School where she taught business and coached Cross Country and Track for 5 years. In 2007, when the high schools split, she returned home to her alma mater where she is in her 14th year teaching in the Business Department and coaching cross country. Coach Rumsey is not only passionate about coaching cross country, but also continues to compete herself in many road races. She has raced a handful of marathons and many half marathons and 10k's. Not only does she enjoy the competition herself, but passing her passion onto others.
She currently teaches SL and HL IB Business Management, Personal Finance and ACE2.
Assistant Coach- Dan Burfeind
Coach Burfeind is a 10th year teacher and assistant cross-country coach. As a former FHS runner, he prides himself in being part of the FHS Cross Country legacy and continuing to work with runners in building that legacy. Coach Burfeind currently teaches Geometry, Algebra 2 and IB Math Studies. Outside of teaching and coaching, he enjoys hiking, cooking, cross-country skiing, and marathon training.
Assistant Coach- Cory Wilson
Coach Wilson is currently in his 23rd year of teaching and coaching. As a seasoned coach, he is competitive and enjoys helping athletes get the most out of their potential. During the school year, Coach Wilson teaches Western Civilization and American History. When not teaching, Mr. Wilson enjoys his family and small farm.
