He Man Book Club Boys interested in joining the He-Man book club, please sign up in the AV library at Mr. Mouat's desk. We'll be having monthly lunch meetings with pizza and will be heading to St. Matt's and Elrod to read with reading buddies starting at the end of October. We will visiting reading buddies once a month and each time we head out to an elementary school will be a school sponsored absence for one period.

Volunteer Opportunity Juniors and Seniors – Do you need volunteer hours? Flathead Lutheran Bible Camp is in need of ten students who can help supervise children games and activities at the camp on Saturday, October 12th from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.. Western Aerospace Scholars Program Applications are being accepted for the 2019-20 Western Aerospace Scholars Program, and the timeline is tight! The deadline for submitting an application is October 30 th !! This program was designed by NASA as a way for juniors to learn more about Earth and Space Science, Space Exploration and STEM careers! The initial phase is all online, and the second phase is a six day summer residency at the Montana Learning Center in Helena this upcoming June. There is no cost for students! You are also eligible for up to five credits from the University of Washington in Earth and Space Science! See Mr. Kelly in the Career Center for application details. Do you want to earn some money to buy the things you want, or to save for college or trade school once you graduate? Beginning this month, the Kalispell Job Service will be at FHS to assist you with finding just the right job for you. If you are the student who wants to go straight to work once you graduate, there are apprenticeship opportunities out there that pay you while providing technical training and certification.
