Health and Physical Education Policies

Several of the Health and P.E. courses require a lab fee ranging
from $10 to $15.  Students are required to be dressed in their Glacier attire at ALL times
in order to use any of the exercise equipment or facility.  Within our Health Enhancement
Department, we as a staff stress a hard work ethic, positive interaction and sportsmanship,
short-term and long-term goal setting, self-evaluation, and explore the variety of
experiences that the health and fitness careers offer.  GHS works closely with Flathead
Orthopedics, The Summit, The Wave, Kalispell Fire Department, Flathead Valley Health
Department, Flathead Valley Community College and other local health
and saftey programs in enhancing student's experience and knowledge in the areas of:
Cardiovascular Fitness
Muscular Strength
Muscular Endurance
Flexibility, Agility, and Coordination
Body Composition
Injury Recognition
Prevention of Injury and Disease
Saftey and First Aid
Personal and Community Health
