Auto I is  for students who like to work with their hands and want to learn how engines and cars work. Students will learn about the design & operation of engines, and how a car works, and how to identify & maintain key systems under the hood of a car.

Students will disassemble, inspect, re-assemble, and test run a small engine first and then students will complete lab work on cars. Students will learn mechanical skills, problem solving, related communication, math & science concepts, organization, and job skills in a shop environment.

The Auto 1 Workbook has all the main lab work that is done during the semester. Each student will get a workbook and a locker to keep it in at the FHS Auto Shop.
