Winter Dance FHS Student Council invites you to our Winter Dance on Saturday, January 25, from 8:30-11PM in the FHS Commons. Cost is $5 per person. This is our only other schoolwide dance of the year; you won't want to miss it. Remember you need 80% or better attendance from January 8-22 to be eligible. Reward your good attendance with a fun evening out! Flathead Dance Guidelines are as follows: Students must be eligible to attend per FHS attendance guidelines. No admittance without FHS School ID. Powerschool is checked at the door; students must have 80% or better attendance during the 2 weeks prior to a dance to be eligible. No re-admittance. Doors close at 10:00 pm. Random checks for alcohol and drugs will be conducted at the door. FHS Administration reserves the right to refuse admittance to anyone for any reason. FHS Administration reserves the right to exit students for inappropriate behavior and/or dancing. Explicit “grinding” will not be allowed. **Guests** A student from any area high school attends as a guest of attendance-eligible FHS student. Only 1 guest per eligible FHS student. Guest passes available at FHS main office. Guest must arrive with FHS student and present Current high school ID and Guest pass

Journal and Art Would you like a quiet place for lunch, a chance to journal and do some art? come to room 254 during late lunch on Fridays.

Boys crosstown is next Friday (January 24rd), we will be having a flash mob but keep it a secret! Glacier can’t know about it! We will be holding a practice at 3:45 tomorrow in the commons. All are welcome! The more people we have the better it will be!

Global Ocean Awareness Contest The 2020 global Ocean Awareness Contest is a platform for young people to learn about ocean issues in today's world. If you are concerned about our planet, please join other youth from around the world to raise awareness. Submissions for the contest are accepted in various forms of media; from visual arts and music to poetry and prose. Whether you're a science nerd, artist or poet we invite you to explore hope and offer solutions through your creativity. See Mrs. Lewis in the Writing Center for more information.

Beach Party Basketball Theme Both the boys and girls basketball teams will be taking on the Butte Bulldogs this Friday night. Come out and cheer on your Braves and Bravettes. Girls start at 5:30 and boys start at 7:00. The student section theme will be BEACH PARTY. First 50 students will receive a free pair of neon sunglasses. Prize for best dressed and most enthusiastic fans will be a giant pink flamingo pool float. See you there!

Boys Soccer Players Attention boys soccer players. We will be holding open gym every Sunday from 3-5 pm in the new gym. Come ready to play."

FHS Employment Office All Students – the FHS Employment Office will be open 6th and 7th Periods on Thursday, January 23 rd in the Career Center. If you are looking for a part time job and want to earn some extra money to buy the things you want, stop in at the Career Center between now and then and make an appointment. The Kalispell Job Service will be at the Employment Office on January 23 rd to assist you with finding just the right job. See Mr. Kelly for details. This is a school sponsored activity.

University of Montana Juniors and Seniors – University of Montana President Seth Bodnar will be visiting FHS TODAY during 2 nd Period beginning at 9:10 A.M. in the Flex Space. Come, introduce yourself and listen to President Bodnar’s message on leadership as well as the University. A chance to meet with a university president and have a direct conversation is quite a valuable opportunity, so please make the most of this occasion. See Mr. Kelly for details.
