Superintendent's Message

Dear Kalispell Public Schools Community,

I am grateful for the continued opportunity to serve as your superintendent and to work alongside our exceptional students, staff, and community members. 

The 2025-26 school year marks my second school year as your Superintendent, and I remain deeply committed to our shared mission of providing outstanding educational opportunities for every student in our district.

Reflecting on our progress from 2024-25, including the successful passage of the High School Levy, a testament to the trust our community has placed in us, I am proud of what we have accomplished together and energized by the work that lies ahead.

For the 2025–26 school year, our strategic priorities include:

  1. Advancing Student Centered Learning: Implementing our Profile of a Graduate competencies through Personalized Competency Based Education to shape learning experiences, ensuring each student develops the essential skills, knowledge, and attributes they need to maintain ownership of their learning in preparation for career and college.
  2. Strengthening Safety & Security: Building upon our established safety protocols to maintain secure learning environments where students and staff can thrive.
  3. Maintaining Fiscal Responsibility: Continuing to ensure transparent and strategic allocation of resources while maintaining a balanced budget that supports our educational mission.
  4. Enhancing Community Engagement: Expanding our communication efforts to foster meaningful dialogue and partnership among all stakeholders including parents, teachers, staff, students, and the broader community.
  5. Improving Our Learning Spaces: Advancing our facility planning and maintenance initiatives to ensure our district has safe, modern, and inspiring environments that support 21st-century learning.

As our vision statement reminds us, Kalispell Public Schools is a Great Place to Learn, Work, and Grow. Our dedicated team of educators and support staff continue to go above and beyond, ensuring every student is empowered to discover their strengths and pursue their aspirations. 

We recognize it is both a profound privilege and responsibility to be the stewards of your children and the public funds entrusted to us. This dual stewardship guides every decision.
